Molecular Beam Epitaxy online

After 6 weeks of hard work, including the unavoidable setbacks, our MBE system is online and operating. Kudos to our students Faith, Justin, Brian and Casey, who did an excellent job in setting it up almost independently. The base pressure of <1e-10 mbar, which we have achieved last night, stands witness to their accomplishment. We look forward to calibrating the effusion cells and growing magnetic topological metals in the weeks ahead.
